Try to install ProcessExplorer from www.sysinternals.com  Then, you
can see in the properties of the TheBat.exe process if there will be a
permanent CPU load on this process or if it will raise suddenly after
a certain operation done in TheBat.

I suspect that the search-feature causes TB! to use permanently high
CPU even if the search has been cancelled long time ago. Folder
maintenance seem to have the same effect: permanent CPU load, even if
folder maintenance has already finished.
