Hello Everyone! On the Wish List at BT, I found a feature request to have the option (not default, *option*) to save clear text (decrypted) of encrypted messages in the Mail database.
This would be helpful (convenient) to those who are not concerned with security on their own machines but only about the security of the transferred message. Additionally, it would also be helpful to be able to have access to the clear text of a PGP-encrypted message that is queued in the Outbox. Because one occasionally has second thoughts and would like to be able to edit the message a bit more before sending. Even if it meant re-encrypting or possibly doing a copy-and-paste of the message body into a completely new message. At present, there's no way to retrieve the text of a queued message and so all one's work of composition is lost, if one does not wish to send the message using the "Send queued mail" button on the Main toolbar. I put this expanded wish to be able to save decrypted messages into a note attached to this Wish List report: https://www.ritlabs.com/bt/view.php?id=2168 Please add your support if you like the idea. The original Wish is from 10 December 2003, reported by Peter Meyns. It's assigned to Stefan Tanurkov and is still open. Last note added before mine, today, was 23 February 2005. So far there are 19 supporting notes, if I counted correctly, including mine, today. -- Best regards, Mary The Bat 3.61.05 Echo (Beta) on Windows XP 5.1 2600 Service Pack 2 ________________________________________________________ Current beta is 3.61.05 (Echo) | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html IMPORTANT: To register as a Beta tester, use this link first - http://www.ritlabs.com/en/partners/testers/
