It just slows me down and doesn't catch most mistakes, anyway. I'm pretty good at spelling, although a real mess at proofreading, especially when tired. But, as I said, spellchecker won't catch most of the kind of errors I'm likely to make. And it ignores the substitution of double L (lower-case--writing it in upper here to avoid confusion) for "11" in my draft of this reply to your post.
