a further quirk of the spell checker implementation in TB is that the terms
'ignore all' and 'cancel' are defined at odds with spell checkers in other
e-mail programs i've used.

[1] in other spell checkers, 'ignore all' will typically 'ignore all'
IDENTICAL spelling errors but continue checking the text to find any other
DIFFERENT spelling errors.

for example, if 'speeling eroors' was in the message, selecting 'ignore all' on
'speeling' in other spell checkers would ignore subsequent occurrences of
'speeling' but the process would continue and presumably find 'eroors'. in TB,
selecting 'ignore all' effectively means 'cancel' spell check and send the
e-mail.

[2] in other spell checkers, 'cancel' will typically not only 'cancel' spell
check but will also 'cancel' the send process. in TB, once spell check is
launched, there doesn't seem to be any way to not send the message which is
ironic because sometimes one finds larger errors of grammar as a spell checker
makes its way through a message.

fwiw, my point of reference is limited to spell checkers in e-mail programs
i've used and i don't claim to have used them all. in other words, you may
have had a different experience and if so, great ... that fact doesn't
invalidate what i've just described.

obviously, the best solution is to not make speeling eroors in the first place.
 :)

thanks/regards, ..
