Well, I've said that perhaps the message is not too clear. I have always maintained that there is only _one_ real threading mode, by Reference, and that by Subject, To, From, etc., are actually different ways of 'grouping' messages even though the menu entry says 'View Threads by'. However, there is also a Group by Date possibility. Also, if you try the different 'thread by' view, you will see that except for by Reference and Reference+Subject (which is no real _threading_ either), all the other modes display a Group/Thread title line, not an actual message, with all the messages in the the group or thread underneath. > I would prefer not to have this warning message (or perhaps make it > an optional setting in Preferences).
