Over the Christmas period I took the opportunity or replacing my main machine's hard disk and reinstalling XP and progs from scratch (phew!). Sadly, I decided not to reinstall TB! because I realised that I'd been using it less and less - and only as a curiosity, then. OK, there are a few twiddly bits that I wish Mulberry and Thunderbird could emulate but I'm afraid that I couldn't put up with the constant aberrations of TB!'s IMAP performance any longer - and I don't see the light at the end of the tunnel yet.
