Hi,

AS>> Great. What do you propose for a workaround?
PF> 1. Set Global View Mode = "none"
PF> 2. Set individual View modes for each folder (if you want)
PF> 3. Make a "narrow" view mode, "Narrow"
PF> 4. When using a small screen, set the Global View Mode to "Narrow"
PF> 5. When coming back to your wide screen, set Globat View Mode = "none"

Not a bad idea indeed, thanks.

It's no permanent solution though, every time I want to access a
folder I would have to do this:

- select folder
- switch view mode
- select other folder
- come back to the folder to see changed view mode

... and this for every folder, on every access after I switched
machines. I could hire a seperat employee just for this.

Almost everything else is saved to the registry. Can a view mode be
automatically selected according to the local registry?

What about macros: Is it possible to automatically run a macro on
selection of folder? This macro would have to read the machine name
and selectthe apropriate viewmode. Is there such a thing?
