But, if I were you, I would emphasize the main points--the possibility that OTFE is part of the problem's mix and the need, at a minimum, for a meaningful wording in the Alert and a way that the user will be informed that the search was ended before all messages were found, when that happens if you do not push Stop. I don't use OTFE. But I do have some encrypted messages in my folders, and those are searched as rapidly as any of the others. I just ran a further test, "beta" in text, with all folders selected. I pushed stop after about 60 seconds, and the search stopped immediately. Dwight confirmed your problem in mid:[EMAIL PROTECTED] and he uses IMAP, so perhaps it's IMAP-related. You might also mention that. -- Best regards, Mary The Bat 3.73 Release Candidate 1 on Windows XP 5.1 2600 Service Pack 2 ________________________________________________________ Current beta is 3.73 rc 1 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html IMPORTANT: To register as a Beta tester, use this link first - http://www.ritlabs.com/en/partners/testers/
