OK. I do this by copying the message to an appropriate folder.

For example, I receive seafreight rates to Tokyo. Of course, they
belong in the "Japan" folder. I manually copy the mail into the
"seafreight rates" folder where all seafreight rates regardless of
destination are kept.

What you want to achieve sounds more elegant.
