According to 9Val, concerning TB! 2.12.03,
"The bug is that after appending message to selected folder
server doesn't see it. And Courier is the only which behaves that
way. It need some additional operations performed after appending
before message is *really* affected by IMAP operations"

so he had to develop some sort of workaround,

Before TB!'s conversation was like this:
TB: Here is a new message I've put it on your box
Server: OK
TB: Please, put that message to another box
Server: Which message? What are you talking about? I don't know
anything about your message
Now, with option enabled conversation looks like:
TB: Here is a new message, I've put it on your box
Server: OK
TB: Hello, can you look to your box?
Server: Why? Ooo! I have a new message here, that's cool!
TB: Yeahh, so please put that message to another box
Server: With pleasure"
