I did not follow the whole thread, but I confirm, that sometimes when I hit Alt+F2 when an account is selected, the given account's Inbox's mails appears in the mail list, despite the fact that there is NO folder selected. I cannot reproduce but this bug is here from ca. v3.5 or so.
