That's a typical hardware problem - Windows is waiting for the drive to respond, and while it's doing that, the program that sent the request is locked up, and there isn't anything you can do to unlock it (you can't kill it either, since to kill a program, it's resources must be released first, and that's not possible while waiting for hardware to respond). > After the pc restart, and wondering if it was a drive or USP > problem, I then used my regular backup program, Backup4all 3, to > follow its orders to back up ALL mail from my mail programs. Anyway, it's possible that the error is only on one part of the disk, and TB's backup happened to reside there.
