I already explained to Stefan. Replace German with French in my situation.
On top of what you said, Dutch acts a little bit like a sponge as far as
foreign words (especially English and - under the influence of the Dutch
who, in general, know far less French than the Flemings - also
French words) are concerned, sometimes with a slightly different spelling.
