I certainly will not have and use more than one dictionary for a single 
language. But handling a couple of languages in the same message may be 
useful some times, not very often though.

I know what you mean. That would me my case if I was writing in Spanish 
and Italian or Portuguese

One easy way to solve this is a QT for each language. The way the 
%LANGUAGE macro works now is that if you select only one language it 
will de-select any other language(s) that may be previously selected. I 
have verified this today with my BR (for British English) and SP (for 
Spanish) QTs. 

Another option is to do something like I do with my SLANG QT included in
my reply templates based on the classification done by PopFile. It will
classify non-spam as either 'eng' or 'esp' based on language. I've been
using this set-up for several years.
