Hello,

> - What version of TB are you using and what OS?

I had just installed v4.0.28.3 when the problems started. Of course,
the latter may be because I had never started the "Customizer" before.
There had never been any need to until now.

The machine is running Windows XP.

I did modify the search bar: Per default it shows "back-line-forward". I
removed the "line". Instead, it ended up in the message list as seen in the
snapshot. It did not appear there right after the toolbar change, but
a few minutes (maybe a few starts, I can't be sure) later. Apparently,
the deleted search input line "went somewhere else instead".

No, I didn't. But the fact that I had the same situation again this
morning after I removed tbuser.def yesterday showed that it wasn't
just a fluke.

This morning instead of deleting the line from the search toolbar I
disabled the search toolbar as a whole. So far, the "flying input
line" has not reappeared.

BTW, while we are on toolbars: Can anybody tell me how to get the
attachment-button back into the toolbar when writing a message?
