If one is extremely self-controlled and thoughtful, including having
good genes and good parenting and a regular spiritual life, having
relatively low life stress, and/or having a fundamentally holistic
view of people, yes.

At this present time, however, any one of us, under enough pressure,
can think, behave and speak impulsively and thoughtlessly - and even
savagely. Look at how otherwise decent soldiers have behaved in
war at times.

I never said I approved of Christian's expressing himself in that
fashion. But I think a less "parent-like" response (using those loaded
terms, "Grow up!,") on your part would IMHO have been more
constructive and therefore better. I.e., Christian is responsible for
trying to do his best, and so are you and I. The real question for you
is, "Did my response to Christian help him to attain more self- and
other-respect?" That recognizes that you cannot truly judge Christian
but only wish him to act in a more respectful fashion to RitLabs.

This is an unfair discussion - I am not bilingual and you are!
:)

Thanks for your response!
