There  are  a lot of ways to wipe/shred the free space of a hard-disk.
The  most security way and the normal way it's to create a big file or
files  with random content until the free space on the unit it's zero.
This  could  be  a  problem  for some programs, because if they try to
create or to enlarge a file they will got an error. In some cases, and
TB!  could  be  one  application  of  this type, the database could be
corrupted because the file it's not correctly closed.

If  you want to do this operation I suggest you to use the Runonce key
of  the  registry  [1]  to  boot  Windows  and  before running another
application  or  driver  it executes the application you want, in this
case the shredder.
