Don't bother - thanks to wonders of journalling, it's pretty much
impossible to remove all traces of files from a disk without wiping it
completely (also, don't bother wiping your disk with anything that
overwrites it more than once - unless the NSA is after you, a single
overwrite pass is enough to make your data unrecoverable).
