I really miss something from older versions of TB! I'm not sure when it disappeared (or if it is an option I can get back) but...
Once upon a time, I could right-click in the To:, CC:, or BCC: field and get the same drop-down menu that appears when I click the little down arrow next to the "Create new message" button. That ability made adding additional addressees /really/ quick and easy. Now I only see the standard cut-n-paste menu for an edit control. The "replacements" for the feature don't work nearly as well for me: * Going to the address book to find an address feels very cumbersome. It might not be so bad if the groups were included in the address list instead of hidden under a control that looks like it allows you to select a /different/ address book. Or perhaps displaying the names in a tree-list with the groups shown as expandable branches (and selectable themselves to send to everyone in a group) would be OK. * The thing that pops up when you enter part of an address might be OK if I could always remember the address, but sometimes I'm sending to an old support address that I've not used for a year of more and I just don't remember. The pop-up also seems to appear a bit too slowly to me, but that is probably adjustable somewhere. I also wish this thing could be told whether to match the substring anywhere in the email address (as it does now) or only at the beginning of 'words' within the address. And just showing a list of things with the same first letter is sometimes nice, too. In other words, I like the way Thunderbird does this much better and wish TB! did the same, or at least offered the option to do the same. -- Steven Vallière | tb 4.1.11.28 | mailto:[email protected] -- "If you didn't write it down, then it didn't happen." -Larry Zana ________________________________________________________ Current beta is 4.1.11.29 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
