And the opposite also happened: when I had favorites CHECKED, I got only "Quick Templates" on the "Create a new message" drop-down. After restarting those generally went away. Now I'm confused as to why empty groups appear on the drop-down as well as why I cannot get the drop-down to appear in response to a right-click in an address field on a new message.
