Hi,
Has anyone been using regex's with the editors replace tool?
I would assume that it uses the same metacharacter syntax as elsewhere
in TB!
Anyway, I've been trying to do some text processing with it?
For example: I was looking at snake's query about removing all quotes
two or more prefixes deep.
I tried the simple search expression:
^.*>>+.*$\n
This doesn't work and yet the same expression works in TextPad.
The same for removing extra blank lines.
\n\n
The above expression works in textpad, but the same doesn't work with
TB!'s editor.
IOW's, all expressions where line breaks are part of the search, they
don't seem to work. Is it that I'm missing something or is the free
caret interface preventing certain regex searches from being carried
out?
