Hello Chema, > message-ids are provided by SMTP servers
Message-ID's are created by the mail client. The "SMTP id" is created by the SMTP server. For instance, I started this message, then went to the MESSAGES.TBB file in the Outbox and looked at it before I completed it. The Message-ID is "<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>" and that's what you'll find when the message reaches you. regards, Andy Tuesday, May 7, 2002, 1:32:18 AM, you wrote: > Hello Listers, > On Mon, 06 May 2002, at 18:37:21 [GMT -0400] (which was 0:37 where I > live) Paul wrote: PDR>> Can anyone tell me what's used to generate the message-ids?
