When I originally installed TB, "Workstation with TCP/IP" just seemed to be the right choice (as I understood the help at the time). Now, I wonder if I should have chosen the without TCP/IP mode. Since it has run fine up til now, I won't take the chance of changing modes. AFAIK, we haven't had the problems you mentioned. MW> Also, do you have email centralized on the server or are there MW> individual email storage areas on the workstation machines? We do have the mail stored centrally on the server. One of the original reasons for choosing TB was that it made it easy for people in the office to access each other's email when necessary (and to back up particular folders). There is a quirk to our setup. Each workstation launches TB from the server (e.g., x:\apps\thebat\thebat.exe). So, whenever we upgrade versions, we have to make sure that TB is shut down on each workstation before the upgrade starts. We also have to do the same thing whenever we want to make a change to an account's properties. -- Best regards, Lee Using The Bat! v1.62r on Windows 2000 5.0 Build 2195 Service Pack 3 ________________________________________________________ http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
