Hello Maksym, > Wouldn't it be more logical and clean if we were able just to change > SMTP when sending (or putting to Outbox)?
Well, no, not really. By definition, an "account" is really just a particular POP and SMTP server. All the rest, IMHO, is optional. If you want to change the SMTP server, set up another account and select it by right-clicking on the account name in the status bar. I change accounts in TB! all the time and find it very easy to do. Also, as you undoubtedly well know, the account name is a macro (%ACCOUNT). One annoyance with changing accounts via the status tray is that it will reset the "From" address to whatever's in the selected account's "Properties" -> "General" -> "From Address", thus overriding anything in any of the contact's templates. (In principle, resetting a macro-configurable field should chain through all the templates that might contain that macro, but TB! doesn't always bother with that.) If anyone knows a work-around, please share it. regards, Andy [Using The Bat! 1.62r under Windows 2000 Pro SP4 on a "made from scratch" P4-2.4 GHz/512 MB RAM] ________________________________________________________ http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
