Hello, TBUDL.

(I posted this yesterday, but as far as I can tell, it was never
delivered to the list. If it is a duplicate, I apologize.)

A few months ago, when I was first trying out The Bat, I posted a
message asking if anyone else was using The Bat with Asian languages
or double-byte character sets (DBCS). As I recall, there were no
  resonses.

Problems with The Bat's handling of Chinese, Japanese, and Korean
(along with a couple of other problems mentioned in another thread) are
keeping me from purchasing it. Specifically, with Korean (under
  English Windows):

  1. I can read Korean messages if I have a third-party program such
as TwinBridge Korean Partner running (I think this is essential for
Windows 9x, as opposed to NT). However, I cannot find any way to
change the font. It seems to be using a bit-map font which does not
  look good with large characters.

  2. Worse yet, if I compose and send a message using The Bat and
Korean Partner, the message header identifies the charset as
ISO-8851-1! (It should be sent as ISO-2022-KR.) I am afraid that
this will make it unreadable to recipients.

Has anyone at all found a way around these problems? Thomas, I
noticed you are running Chinese Windows. Do you have similar
  problems?

Unfortunately, this is one area where Becky really excels....

Regards,
