There was a long discussion about this in the past. There was a subtle
difference in that the desire then, was to make the animation occur
only when there is freshly unread mail downloaded. By freshly unread, I
mean mail downloaded the last time you checked.
Your suggestion is nice as well and could be implemented in the same
fashion as with the mail ticker. If you go into each folders
properties you'll see and option to show unread messages on Mail
Ticker. You are requesting that they include an option to show
animated icon for unread messages as well.
Why not use the Mail Ticker to alert you when messages have arrived
then and switch it off for for your UDL and BDL message folders?
