Yes, that's a problem whenever importing mail.  For example, if a
message base becomes corrupt and you use the repair utility, when you
re-import the messages they all have the Received field set to the
current date and time.  Since I sort mail in many of my folders my
Received date/time, this creates problems.

My suggestion: An option on the import dialog to set Received date/time to
the Created date/time for imported messages.  (It wouldn't perfectly
restore the original Received date/times of the messages, but it would
be much closer than using the current date/time.)
