I know I'm a little behind the times as far as version numbers go,
but this problem has been pretty consistent in every version I've
used, so I bet it hasn't been fixed yet.
My mail system at work *requires* a percent sign, %, in my password.
This cannot be changed. Whenever I upgrade or reinstall the Bat, the
percent sign and the characters that follow it are removed. This is a
serious annoyance: it sometimes takes me a while to notice that my
mail is not being checked, especially if, as is usual, I reinstalled
the Bat after a windows crash, when stress distracts me from
remembering the password bug.
I hope the Bat-programming folks will take note and do away with this
"feature."
Thanks,
Tony
