No, not before but _after_ sending the message to SMTP server.

Please, use dash-dash-space-CRLF, not dash-dash-CRLF. In the former
case TB (and some other e-mail clients, too, I hope) will treat all
text following this line as signature and cut off it when creating the
reply.
