Hmm, I'd guess corporate servers is the most likely answer... ;]
However, I know that some web-based services offer auto-replies.
Yahoo e-mail offers an automatic vacation response, however the problem
there is that everyone would need to send you e-mail there, or you'd
have to get your existing account to forward all messages to Yahoo...
