Some Mail Server will not generate auto reply if the message came from
List Server (which having Precedence: bulk header on it), if we _sure_
that our server response as that, we safely to activate auto responder
for vacation.
But, I agree with you, do not do that, better to temporary Unsubcribe
from the list or change the subscriptions to NOMAIL (if the List
server have this facility).
