i don't use AOL, but i do connect to an IMAP4 server here at work.
it just doesnt't work like POP3 ; it's more server-based ... what i do is
start the 'dispatch mail on server' then mark/unmark the messages i want to
transfer to my local Inbox and do 'start transfer' (1st icon on the left).
