Hmmm...How did you narrow it down to that one message? And if it's one
message causing the problem, how does it ever get past it?

I kept trying last night, a few at a time, and when I got down to 150
messages, the last 150 downloaded without a problem!

Well, I use 95 at work, and 98 at home, so it COULD be 98 related.

Don't know. I'll e-mail my ISP and see what they're using.

Strange. As I said, mine would do neither, but something in
between....

When I started last night, I had about 1500 messages on the server (I
haven't found a good way yet to receive all messages at both locations
and clean them up consistently). When the problem started happening, I
had about 400 marked for download. Even though UIDL was partially
working as far as downloading, messages marked for deletion were not
being deleted. (It appears that all marked messages must be downloaded
before any are deleted; is this correct?) This made the whole process
very time consuming to complete. Every time I got the "output file"
error, I had to wait for the download window to clear and hit the
"get" button again. It would then have to count through 1000 messages
all over again before finding the first one marked for download.

When I got the last 150 downloaded, then everything was deleted as it
should have been.
