    Just two things I wanted to add about scoring.

1: Gravity also has scoring.  Of the two, XNews and Gravity, I think Gravity
it is easier to configure scoring for the neophytes out there.  XNews takes a
more traditional approach to the score file.

2: It does take a while to get into scoring.  When I was first introduced to
the concept I didn't think it would be of much value.  It took me a good month
or two of using SLRN to develop my own feel of how scoring would help on news
reading.  At one point in PMMail's development I advocated scoring for email,
especially mailing lists, but have yet to decide on a decent way to implement
it independant of email filters.  the reason I say they should be independant
is because of my avocation of using a standard set of regex filters to catch
mailing list mail.  Hard to put a specific score on a general filter.  ;)
