Hi Sashka,
On 13 January 2000 at 21:36:30 GMT -0500 (which was 02:36 where I
live) [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote and made these points:

Nope. Double click the HTML attachment and it opens a browser window.
Open a new window in the browser first to ensure that there is a clean
window for it to go to (yes I've been reading what you've said on this
topic); heck, if you're using IE then have a shortcut on your IE quick
launch tool-bar for that job and let IE or NS or Opera go grab those
images in a full render for you. Leave TB alone. It does it just right
AFAIAC. (Actually, IMHO it already goes too far, but that's just me).
IMHO HTML e-mail is *not* e-mail. e-mail in the form we know and love
it is an off-line thing. Messages are downloaded for off-line reading.
That precept gets broken with your suggestion. I disagree with the
breaking of fundamental precepts.
We don't all have 24/7 connects to stay on-line just to see a pretty
picture in an abominated, over-inflated nonsense of an HTML message.
I'm glad you're not looking to see images downloaded automatically.
Anyway - where does it stop? ActiveX? ShockWave? CGI? JavaScript?
VBScript? All perfectly valid HTML and transmittable in a mail
document like any image. Let browsers browse and let MUA manage mail.
KISS.
[good heavens, where did that rant come from? - not like me at all!]
