Put it in the "main" bat directory, here it is c:\progra~1\thebat~1\

The mbrepair utility should be fine upto and inclduing 1.41, as the
message base format didn't change.

Is your HD fine in those sectors with the bad message files? Have your
run Scandisk lately?
