 I think the reference was, when you send an attachment, the copy of
 the message that TB puts in the Sent folder does not contain the
 attachment.  It only contains a link to the file, regardless of the
 "Store Attachments in message Body" option.  So if the file is moved
 or deleted, the message appeared to have no attachment.

 However, in the current betas, this appears to have been fixed.  I'll
 do some testing later to confirm.  For now, the only good option is
 to enable local delivery in TB and BCC yourself a copy of any
 messages with attachments.

 (This is really only relevant if you have the "Store Attachments in
 message Body" enabled. Otherwise this whole discussion is somewhat
 pointless.)
