This editor has what we call a free caret. You may place it where ever you
like and start typing. Most of use, however, are quite accustomed to a
caret that operates within limits and have learnt to use it to our
advantage. Version 2 of TB! will pack an alternative editor that better
suits your needs, either integrated or as a plugin ( I gleaned this from
the Stefan interview concerning version 2).

The free caret with liberal use of the <end> and <home> keys, makes for a
nice interface, IMHO. Funny, it's like another language since I easily use
my Word Processor with the usual caret behaviour without much of a hitch.
I however used TB! to write my tables and rotas, after which I'd copy and
paste. I later got an editor with a similar free caret support. The ideal
would however be to make this toggle-able as it is with Textpad,
UltraEdit-32 and WinEdt. I've finally settled on UltraEdit-32. It took me
a while to find the appropriate one. :-)
