Yes, it finds matches to to the name or element clicked on. If you
alt-click on the subject, it will list only those messages with the same
subject. It will do the same thing with the flags column and any other
column element.
It does a simple string matching with the from field and nothing more. If
you need more sophisticated matching, use the search utility, type in the
e-mail address and select the sender as the search scope.
