Greetings Tom!

Part one...
If it's a hidden share ie the drive isn't browse-able unless the admin
knows the share name, Wouldn't that suggest that is exactly the reason
you can't reach the path. I'm thinking that is an NT /98 microsoft
networking share shortcoming.

So...  I wonder....
      What Operating Systems's are involved?
      What Protocols are you using... TCPIP, NETBUI, IPX?

Have you tried
Machinename//TBM$  ?

Is the user authorized to access the FOLDER?

Have you tried "mounting" that folder And THEN telling the bat where
it is located?

Have you tried a regular MSNetwork share with say a user password instead?
Like $TBM ?

Note: I do understand "why" you would want to keep shares hidden.

Part two...
I don't disagree, the "Mail Root" ought to be able to be set without
a reinstall, perhaps RIT will put something in the "Options?"

Until then, It's no secret we are able to change some paths using
REGEDIT

(obviously I've changed my paths here.)

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\RIT\The Bat!]
"LNK_SM"="I:\\Z\\Start Menu\\Programs\\The Bat!.LNK"
"LNK_ST"="I:\\Z\\SendTo\\The Bat!.LNK"
"Working Directory"="I:\\MAIL\\" <---I think this is the one you want
"Address Book file"="I:\\MAIL\\The_Bat!.ABK"
"Last save path"="J:\\TB\\"
"Last attach path"="I:\\"
"Last XLAT path"=""
"Last cookies path"=""
"Last save-text path"="J:\\security\\"
"Last import path"=""
"Last folder"="phil\\Inbox"
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\RIT\The Bat!\Digital Keys]
"Pubring"="I:\\MAIL\\pubring.pgp"
"Secring"="I:\\MAIL\\secring.pgp"
"RandSeed"="I:\\MAIL\\randseed.bin"
etc...

Part three...
There's no need to start calling me a bloat warrior, I might have got
upset over the last topic we discussed, but then after thinking about
it, I didn't need to vent it at you. However, that also doesn't give
you full rights to keep taking swings at me. Let it go man. I got
nothing against you personally. My name it Phil, not bloat warrior,
I am a real person. I'll call you by your name Tomas but you have
to show the same respect, and get the monkey off your back.

TP> Oh yeah, there also doesn't seem to be a way to, after installation,

TP> I would like to just be able to type in the directory directly. (And
