Hello TBUDL,
My friends and I were having a conversation which turned onto
Japanese support in The Bat! We were under the belief that Japanese
text was read from top to bottom of the page in single character
columns. e.g.
H
E
L
L
O
Our main question was: "Is this situation true for Japanese text on
Win 9x/NT machines?" We know that Win9x/NT can support right->left
(Hebrew style) but can it support top->bottom. Also are Microsoft
products (e.g. Word) fully converted to Japanese?
Our second question was: "Is there a programming language which is
written entirely in Japanese. Or do Japanese programmers have to
program in English?"
We have tried to check this. However, the websites were in Japanese so
we couldn't read them <g>.
Any comments would be much appreciated.
