Considering the age of your PC, the size of your message base and presuming that you open TB as soon as your system is starting, I think that your pc is still busy doing its startup stuff and that it doesn't have the processing power to do everything at the same time. What might help is making your folders smaller, that means more of them, but TB needs time to read the folder and a larger folderr takes more time to open than a small folder.
