I started with v2, and got my fingers burnt because they released v3
within a fortnight and my licence didn't cover it. I stuck with v2 for
a few months. Then after reading on this list about desirable
enhancements, tried v3 and then bought an upgrade licence to v3.

For a long time I have stuck with v4.0.38, which is the latest
supported by my v3 licence.

I downloaded and tried v6.0.2, but reverted to 4.0.38: for me it is
not worth paying to upgrade as bugs I encounter in 4.0.38 are still
present in the new v6.0.2, and I don't use IMAP, rarely use HTML in
emails, and don't yet correspond with anybody who uses
internationalised domain names.

Your usage and requirements are probably different to mine, so your
answer may well be different to mine.

The main thing I noticed is the option to use MS Internet Explorer's
HTML engine as the HTML message viewer, as an alternative to TB!'s own
implementation. But I rarely view emails in HTML...

The upgrade licence is 30% cheaper.

I *think* the filters are OK. But the message base format is not, so
you need to revert to a backup of your message base if you switch back
to an older TB! version after upgrading to 6.0.x. (The installer warns
of this, saying the message base indexes are a new format.)
