If he is disconnected after a successful negotiation I think the
problem lays in his Win2K dial-up settings, or with his ISP, and the
discussion doesn't necessarily belong here. The Bat! uses pre configured
connections when it's dial-up monitor is taking care of business. It
might help though to set The Bat! to check for mail often since many
ISP's dump you if you're idle. An alterative is one of the "keep
alive" applications you can find at for example www.download.com.
I have had problems getting The Bat! getting mail more than once under
Win2K. A quick fix to this is to put in the mail server's IP instead
of it's name. This has worked for me, and using The Bat! under this MS
flavor has worked flawlessly.
