Hello The Bat! developers,

I'm using The Bat! Version 1.42f
  Serial Number 9816A64B
  under Windows 98 4.10 Build 2222 A
and would like to report a bug

  The bug description:

Sometimes a folder displays some number of new messages when
indeed there are no new messages in the folder.

  Steps to reproduce the bug:

I have a default sorting office rule to put email not addressed to
me into the Trash folder. I often get messages deposited there
that are unread. I switch to the trash folder to see what they
are, and before they are marked as read I delete them (I have a
one second delay or something like that on marking read). It
appears as though deleting messages that are not marked read does
not update the "new" column in the folder listing.

Please let me know if this is not readily reproducable and I'll
work out a more reproducable case. This bug has been bothering me
for some time but it's just now that I discovered the relationship
between unread messages and deleting them and the "New" counter.

Regards,
  Tom Plunket
