considering the vagueness when the interview was held I would have
been surprised if they had actually any code which ran at that time.
What is being done as far as I can see is that they work on the wrap
(which we donot see) while fixing up those things in v1 which we need
in v2.
When the wrap is ready and the bugs are more or less fixed I would
asume they merge them and likely they do that anyway from time to time
to test for themselves.
When software is in that part of design you DONOT want testers as the
programmers will find the bugs themselves anyway...
Stephan may run the same version as us but you donot know if the wrap
looks anything like ours....
I wouldnt believe seeing what it says below a msg as likely that comes
from the innards of the program, not the shell.
If he was running whats v2 beta 0.0001 he isnt going to show that as
there would be yelling to release it...

My maain problem with Agent is that for some groups filtering is
hopelessly inadequate.
I have to follow some groups where trolls are a daily occurance
including 2000 or so daily cross posts.
Believe me , Agent isnt any good for a situation like that...

agreed, but filtering is prehistoric

There is a very nice English package, I forgot the name, it had
buildin pgp etc. I may still have it somewhere...
I never really tried it as for me a mail program like newsreader
needds more then the one month to test...

But that doesnt mean one wants to make it a mail program which is a
mix of all the others.
On the other hand a totally chopped down idiot proof version of the
bat might fill the need for many Outlook users.
Most of those have ONE server, no odd attachments, donot want fancy
things, and they donot want to think.
I had a few of them run the bat and they didnt even look at the
manual.
They have NO problem using the bat for their simple requirements.
We as a group arent the most characteristic group of bat users...
Best regards,
tracer
