The beta version of WinZip Command Line Support Add-On can be
downloaded at their web site. You'll need Winzip 8.0 to use it.

That's what I used to do, until my HD was running out of free space.
I got an CDRW and the only thing that can write to CDRW directly and
incrementally with compression is backup software, and that's what I
use now.

Scheduling is nice, but I can't use it either. My wife and I share
the computer, and moments when neither of us is using it are rare
and irregular. I set up an shortcut on the desktop, and double click
on it when we are, say, having lunch.
