You are right, he could have meant that. I'm on a phone connection at
home, that's were it applies what I said before. At work, when the LAN
is done, TB! still tries to connect periodically, and I get theerror
message "FETCH - could not conenct to server". That's all. No annoying
beep, nothing. So no big deal.

Do you have Log-Panel enabled? (shft-ctrl-L). That's where you see the
error message.

Confirm. That's what TB does in the office when the LAN is back up.
