I see.  You are right, except that somehow 13 May 2000 insists again
and again as being at the top of my mail sort, which is flagged in
descending order.  It is then followed by the current date (=time, as
you point out) then earlier dates.  I will simply delete that date.
(The problem is occuring in my The Bat folder, to which all TBUDL mail
is moved by flag.)
