Hi dynamite,

On 28 July 2000 at 12:36:40 GMT +0100 (which was 12:36 where I
live) [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote and made these points on the subject
of "handling of blank Date: field":

MDP>> How peculiar! What was the originating email client (just out of

I would complain to them about the use of a mass mailer which doesn't
set a valid message date. It's probably an optional RFC header so it
wouldn't be "wrong" per se, just inconvenient.

d>>> This caused TB! to set the Created date to 1 Jan 1980, 01:00. Would

MDP>> Nah - it's a good opportunity to recommend TB to the user of a

Perhaps it is actually worthy of a bug report to RIT labs then (Help
-- feedback -- bug report). I also sort by creation date. You could
always drag the message to the outbox, tweak it, save it and drag it
back. That would give it a creation date.
